Description:

Axis Polaris is a high-performance paraglider suited for experienced pilots flying cross country and smaller competitions in the Sport category. When it comes to power, Axis Polaris matches performance of EN-D gliders from 2011 season, but obviously cannot compare to 2012 racing gliders in EN-D class. Axis Polaris is awaiting certification in EN-C (has not been certified yet "2012") and offers very high safety standard and stability with precise Axis handling known from Axis Mercury and Axis Venus II gliders.

 

During Axis Polaris development, the Axis team used technologies and experience gained from Axis Mercury II production. The team managed to combine performance with new safety technologies, which resulted in a new glider that is one of the safest in EN-C class.

 

Axis Polaris sports proven diagonal construction suspended into three lines by every third principal rib. The leading edge is reinforced with nylon wires instead of mylar, known from Axis Venus III and Axis Comet gliders. This solution brings better weight distribution in the nose area. By heavy use of inner-rib’s reinforcement on the trailing edge, the glider has good solidity considering it's 6,45 aspect ratio.

 

Axis Polaris Colours:

Axis Polaris has new colour scheme: the bottom canopy is white.
