Jože started paragliding in 1999 and fell in love with the beauty of this sport right from the start. As a chemistry student in University of Ljubljana he spent a lot of time paragliding in real alpine conditions. His progress in the first two years was exceptional.
In the season 2001 he started to compete which helped him to progress even faster. As a talented pilot in the season 2003 he already has made two unofficial World record in Out-and-return distance (200 km and 208 km). With these flights he won XC Cup 2003 in Slovenia and became 3rd in the World XC Cup. In Slovenian XC Cup he won again in the year 2005 with even longest Out-and-return: 231 km.
In the year 2006 he went to South Africa to chase the world record in open distance. The 370 km long flight was not the record, but it was well remembered flight.
As full time job in paragliding world is more a miracle than an option, he employed as QA person in pharmaceutical industry in year 2007. But paragliding stays his passion so he joined Axis team a year later and started competing in PWC.
