Karlo has been flying since 1995 and is one of the first paragliding pioneers in Croatia. He studied electronics in Split and became an instructor in Slovenia.

He is a part of the Croatian National Paragliding Team since first World Air Games 2001 in Spain. Karlo is a part of the Axis Team since 2008 and finished 1st in Paragliding World Cup in Spain, where he won 2 tasks (out of 3). Karlo is also interested in kitesurfing and painting.
