The company was established by Radek Simonik in 1990 as a school for hangliding.

Soon Axis added training on paragliders. School activities were very successfull, and from 1997 Axis started to produce reserve chutes and back protectors. From 2001 the company started to develop and produce paragliding wings. Currently Axis makes a complete range of paragliders – from beginner gliders to competition „winning machines“.

From 2005 Axis produces kites for powerkiting, and has a wide range of kites of all sizes.
